I first met the S. family when Baby N. was a newborn. I had to wait to share his newborn session until he was "officially official." The S. Family has been blessed twice by adoption. Just a few few years ago, they brought sweet Miss C. into their family as a newborn adoption as well. Now the day finally came to finalize the adoption of their second child, Baby N. I think this may have been the biggest group I have photographed at an adoption. It was so awesome to see so
The R. Family was in for a special treat when they came from their warm, sunny State to Texas for baby N.'s adoption. San Antonio got a cold front that blew in a couple of days before so it was chilly and super windy this day. And by chilly in south Texas, I mean like in the 50's...and yes that is cold for us ;) Little baby N started his adoption day at the courthouse will a much deserved nap. He had to rest up for his big moment that he has waited his whole life for- all
One of the perks of photographing adoptions for me is meeting people from all over the country. Many out-of-state families chose to adopt from Texas because Texas has very adoption friendly laws. For instance, in a newborn placement like the S. Family, Texas allows the birthfather to relinquish his rights at any time during the pregnancy and the birthmother will relinquish rights 48 hours after the baby is born. The baby is placed with the adoptive parents at that time and
Baby G. is one blessed little guy! His parents were really looking forward to his adoption day for so long. It was such a special occasion that both sets of Grandparents and G's Aunt and Uncle came too. Baby G's Aunt made him a special sign that read "I am a child of God, and He has sent me here." Oh how true that is sweet baby boy. God bless you all C. Family!
