Chick-Fil-A Dedication Dinner

Who doesn't love Chick-Fil-A? I mean, really. I have never met a person who doesn't love this place. Their food is awesome, the staff are so kind, the restaurants are always clean, they are super family friendly, and they have a great indoor playground. Well if that isn't enough to love already, I am going to give you another reason. Did you know that before the opening of every new Chick-Fil-A restaurant, CFA Corporate holds a big dinner to honor the owner/ operator, staff, and dedicate the restaurant to the Lord? I felt so very honored to get to experience and document this very special CFA tradition.

Imagine if you will, a gorgeous venue filled with hundreds of your friends, family, and new and old team members from all across the country? And they are all there to show their love and support in this new venture of yours. This is what the Roberts' family experienced that night. I would almost compare it to a wedding. There was amazing food catered by Blanco BBQ, a candy table, and even a photo booth provided by Mad Mad Photo Booths. And I must add that being in a room with hundreds of people from the CFA family was really a delight. They were all ready and willing to serve me and each other at the drop of a hat. Just goes to show that the kindness of CFA employees goes far beyond the restaurant.

I first me the Roberts' family almost three years ago when they began going to our church and joined our small group. We then learned that they were owner/ operators of a Chick-Fil-A at our local mall. As we got to know them, it was very evident they are truly God-loving people who have hearts of gold and a high level of character. They also have two precious children, a son and a daughter. It was easy to see the dedication they had for their restaurant and especially their staff. They would often request prayer for a staff member going through a tough time. So it really didn't surprise me on the night of the dedication dinner, when I heard story after story and met person after person who could attest to the character and work ethic of Ryan and his wife Emily. After being with CFA for 7 years, and in many different roles, the Roberts' now have their very own brand new, free-standing restaurant in North Central San Antonio!
