30 years at SAFD

I love San Antonio, it is really an incredible city. One thing that makes our city great is that we really have some amazing first responders. I recently had the honor of photographing one of them with 30 years of service to our city with San Antonio Fire Department. You know the old saying, behind every great man is always a great and supportive woman, so it was really nice to be able to photograph Mr. Garcia with his wife to commemorate this anniversary and his upcoming retirement. And since we were shooting on location at an active station, of course the Firemen received a call during the middle of our session and they left with the Fire Truck for a little while. Fortunately everyone was okay and they came back shortly after the call. I noticed a sobering reminder during our session that our first responders put their lives on the line every day when they come to work. If you look closely in some of the photos, there is a blue line across the SAFD logo on the door. This was in honor of a recent fallen Firefighter and a Police Officer. Congratulations Mr. Garica on 30 years of faithful service with SAFD. You have helped countless people and made our city a better place. Enjoy your retirement and God bless!
