Welcome!

Welcome to my photography blog! I am so glad you are here. I am Briana, San Antonio, TX family photographer, and am finally coming into the millineium to blog about my photography. I am not new to blogging however, I kept a blog for four years regaring the adoption of our first child. And in my last post of that blog two years ago, I mentioned that I would begin blogging about my photo sessions. Well, I've had a lot of sessions in the last two years, so my goal is to start blogging about my most recent work, move forward, and then maybe catch up with some of my past sessions.

Like most mom-tographers out there, I began my photography business shortly after the birth of my first child. I, also like other mom-tographers, wanted to learn how to take better photos of my new baby boy. I began to recieve complients from my friends and family about how much they liked the photos of my son (I now look back and think the only thing really good about those photos was that my subject was absolutely adorable!). Eventually a couple of friends asked me to take family photos for them. I had so much fun doing the sessions, editing the photos, and presenting them to my friends. I then began to wonder if this is something I could really do. I then begged one of my good friends to let me take her maternity photos, for free of course :). She agreed, and as they say, the rest is history. That was in 2012 and I have entered my fourth year in business. I have learned so much and grown so much in my craft.

I would classify my style as clean, colorful, and simple. I photograph baby bumps, newborns, children, and families. I've recently began photographing adoption hearings which has been such a blessing to me. As an adoptive parent, I know the anticipation, excitement, and long awaited desire for that moment to arrive. I have seen so many special moments and tears of joy as these families become complete. The two most important things in my life are God and family, and these passions come through in my work.
